tg1 - OUTSTANDING CONFEDERATE FOOT OFFICERS SWORD OF NEW ORLEANS MANUFACTURE.
The pictures speak for this one. This is a beautifull Foot Officers sword, probably manufactured by Thomas Griswald & Co. of New Orleans. The leather grip is gorgeous and so near perfect that it looks like polished wood. The blade retains much of its original polish, and the scabbard is 100% complete with nearly perfect mounts and not a single crease or ding in the leather. This one is from my personal collection, and if you have been waiting for a NICE cONFEDERATE OFFICERS SWORD, YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER EXAMPLE.
