CWHCollage - Colt Walker Revolvers
Colt Walker Revolvers are considered by many experts in the Antique Arms collecting field to be one of the most historic collector arms in the world. Developed jointly in 1847 by Samuel Colt and Captain Samuel H. Walker of the First U.S. Mounted Rifles, this huge 44 caliber pistol and its successors were the first revolving sidearms that were designed for and purchased by the United States Government on a successfull scale. With their spectacular history of use in the Mexican War and the Texas frontier, they are still considered one of the most powerfull handguns ever developed. We are fortunate to have handled several of these historic arms, and are always interested in the opportunity to purchase any Walker Revolver, especially those that may be historically associated to their original owners, or to Texas and Mexican War users. We would also like to purchase any Walker documents or related materials. We are currently gathering information and research on the Walker for an upcoming publication.
