923 - EXQUISITE, UNFIRED, MUSEUM QUALITY PEPPERBOX. ONE OF THE FINEST KNOWN AND IT IS IDENTIFIED.
This little beauty is in near mint condition as is its original casing and all accessories. It is the best I have ever seen and is ID'd in Indian Ink on the bottom of the case. It's original owner, C. H. Smith of Cooperstown, New York saw service with Battery "M" of the 3rd New York Light Artillery. It joined the regiment February 22, 1862, and served in North Carolina, and the 18th Corps, from March, 1862; at and near Fort Monroe, Va., from October, 1863; in Heckman's Division, 18th Corps, from January, 1864; in the 1st Division, 18th Corps, from March,
1864; in the 3d Division, 18th Corps, Army of the James, from May, 1864; in the Artillery Brigade, 18th Corps, from June, 1864, and in that of the 24th Corps from December, 1864.
Commanded by Capt. John H. Howell, it was mustered out at Richmond, Va., June 26, 1865. Needless to say, Smith didn't take his fine little Pepperbox with him.

916 - CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE PALMETTO ARMORY PISTOL.
This gun came directly from the Londeree family of Buckingham County, Virginia. I have the entire history on this gun and am waiting for a notarized letter from the kind woman who owned it. It belonged to Joseph Londeree (her great-great-grandfather) who was in Branders Company of Letchers Light Artillery. He was killed by a 24 pound shell bursting in front of a wagon he was driving in late 1862. I have copies of all the family's marriage certificates and genealogy charts from her aunt who received the Cross of Military Service from The United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1994 for her service in the US Military (WWII)and being a direct descendant of a Confederate Veteran. The provenance on this gun is A-1, rock solid.
*****!!!! AT 3:12PM ON FEBRUARY 16, 2009 I SENT OUT MY EMAIL NEWSLETTER TO ALL SUBSCRIBERS. WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF RECEIVING MY EMAIL, THE GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GRANDSON OF JOSEPH LONDEREE CALLED TO PURCHASE THIS PISTOL. AMAZINGLY, HE IS ONE OF MY GOOD FRIENDS AND A FRIEND AND FELLOW COLLECTOR OF US ALL, RUSTY HICKS OF VIRGINIA. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!!!****
SOLD TO REALLY HAPPY NEW OWNER !

906 - CIVIL WAR ERA ENGRAVED ADAMS PATENT REVOLVER WITH FACTORY IVORIES AND UN-RESEARCHED DOCUMENTED HISTORY TO COLONEL JOHN T. WILDER OF INDIANA, COMMANDER OF THE FAMED "IRON BRIGADE".
This item is currently being researched to authenticate the provenance of its past presentation and ownership. We ask that anyone familiar with this piece or the backround associated with the information provided on the brass plaque to contact us to help with the proper identification of this artifact. It was supposedly the former property of Margaret Wilder Wieser who's husband and direct descendant of John T. Wilder, died in 1972. This gun was reported (on the plaque) as having been presented to Colonel John T. Wilder by the "Friends and Citizens of Greensburg, Indiana". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Undergoing research, Currently not-for-sale

876 - PAIR OF PERCUSSION DUELING PISTOLS WITH ACCESSORIES, LIEGE BELGIAN MADE 50 caliber.
This is a very strong condition pair of unmarked Belgian duellers in desireable 50 caliber. They show wonderfull wood carving on the for-ends and flutes to the grip areas. The locks, lock-plates and butt-plates show finely elegant hand engraving and the grips have ivory caps between the stock and plates giving a very pleasing and classy look. The metal on these guns is a fine, untouched brown patina. Worthy of a casing if you can find one, these guns are accompanied by their original ramrod and wooden hammer.

872 - CIVIL WAR ERA, ENGLISH ADAMS PATENT REVOLVER MANUFACTURED BY THE LONDON ARMORY COMPANY.
This gun was probably manufactured prior to the Civil War but walked into the Richmond Virginia gun show a few weeks ago and had been in the same family for at least 80 years. I have no doubt it saw Civil War use. It shows about 80% aging blue on the barrel and frame and about 40% of the same finish on the barrel. The grips are finely checkered and in great shape. For those unaware, this is actually a very rare configuration. It is a large bore gun (prox. 40 caliber) on a smaller-than-average frame, something an officer and gentleman of the South would have been proud to carry.

634 - EXTREMEY RARE AND EARLY LEMAT PINFIRE REVOLVER.
This is probably of the earliest LeMat pinfires in that it is basically a full-sized LeMat. The frame and cylinder were reduced to facilitate the pinfire cartridge and the loading gate assembly is original to the frame. Provision for the plunger is on the right. This is not a conversion but a full, early Pinfire LeMat Revolver and it IS RARE. It is still tight and fairly crisp to include the grips. The only detraction is some fairly heavy corrosion on the cylinder that effects about 3 of the chamber areas.

620 - WONDERFULL SILVER MOUNTED, BRITISH OFFICERS PISTOL.
This is a wonderfull gun made by Brander and hallmarked in the 1760's. It is untouched and never enhanced messed with other than the polishing of the silver mounts that is perfectly acceptable on these fine guns. It was found in a fine, large home in New Jersey in a small flat trunk under shredded and treated newspaper insulation between the rafters in the attic about 30 years ago prior to the homes razing. It most certainly saw service during the Revolutionary War. This is a Queen Anne sized pistol with prox. 9" barrel. It is in fine condition and IT IS NICE !

557 - MANHATTAN NAVY REVOLVER WITH FACTORY PEARL GRIPS, FACTORY ENGRAVED AND HISTORICALLY INSCRIBED TO CAPTAIN ANTHONY BOWEN OF THE 173RD OHIO.
This wonderfull gun was sent in from California where it has resided for years. This is a factory engraved gun with factory pearl grips, a very arre gun in and of itself. It has a beautifull inscription on the backstrap, "Presented to Capt. A. W. Bowen By Co. E, 173rd O.V.I.". Our recent research on this gun shows that Bowen was originally mustered into the 6th Ohio in 1861 as a private and was wounded at Chickamauga to muster out in June of '64. He would have also seen service at Shilo and Stones River. He was commissioned into Company E of the 173rd in August of the same year to see service at Nashville. This gun has seen fairly heavy use but has a wonderfull look. The grips are gorgeous and the engraving is still nice. It has a silver plated finish that is contemporary to the period, but appears to have been done after some use or after the war for preservation purposes. It has turned a deep, silver-blue patina and looks awesome. I believe there is a likelihood that this gun is one of two things. It was either captured from the enemy and then plated, inscribed and presented to Bowen, or it was plated by Bowen after the war to preserve it and the memory of his service. Regardless, it is a great, inscribed veteran of the conflict to a soldier that had great history and one who was wounded in battle.

294 - CIVIL WAR GUN. ADAMS REVOLVER, FACTORY ENGRAVED AND FACTORY PRESENTED IN 1864. CIVIL WAR VINTAGE DATED 1864.
This is a great Civil War era Adams Revolver that is factory engraved and inscribed on its top strap; "Major Rawlings from Robert Adams" followed by the adams address. This inscription is 100% original and extremely rare, however I can make no claims as to any association to any Confederate Officer or Soldier with whom these guns were so popular, as I have not had time to have the name researched. I will leave that up to the buyer of this outstanding engraved specimen. The gun is in excellent overall condition to include prox. 80% original blue and near mint action, markings and grips. A vintage Civil War era Adams, the likes of which we may not see again for a very long time.

278 - CIVIL WAR SAVAGE REVOLVER.
This is a very decent old brown gun that is relatively smooth. The action is tight and crisp and it is fully martially marked with a cartouche and all sub-inspection marks. It does have a problem that most of us would dread having. Sadly, the poor fellow has no nipples. If you have some extra's, there's money left in this revolver.

255 - CONFEDERATE LeMAT REVOLVER - ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING, MUSEUM QUALITY FIRST MODEL LeMAT REVOLVER.
According to more than a few well known Confederate dealers and collectors, this is one of the very finest First Model LeMat Revolvers in private hands today. It is exquisite. I bought this wonderfull gun with the intention of keeping it, but found something recently that tickled my fancy a bit more, and I just can't keep it all !!
This gun is super sharp and crisp with generous amounts of original blue. The grips are also outstanding. This is one gun that I will not soft-sell. Some say that LeMats are soft right now, but not a two digit 1st Model with finish. It is a very important Confederate artifact that is worthy of the finest museum or personal collection. I would be as interested in a trade as a sale, so if you want to own one of the very best in Confederate collectables, give me a call.

This is a superbly crisp and sharp Savage showing edges and action that are nearly crisp as new. It shows virtually no use and has just developed a brown patina over time. Generous traces of blue scattered about the gun mixing with brown and super grips. It is a beauty and priced right. If you are looking for an extremely sharp example of a Savage, this one fits the bill.

pt1 - VERY FINE CONDITION PETTINGIL REVOLVER, MARTIALLY MARKED.
This Pettingil is in exceptional condition, and the finest I have had the opportunity to come across. Although it shows little or no finish, it also shows little to no use and is sharp as a tack. It is in a perfectly untouched, attic mint patina with an excellent cartouche on the left grip. It would be very difficult to find a better one. It is also among the only known group of Pettingills that have identified use. Every gun with definatively known issue falls in the serial range 3244 - 4144, and this gun falls within that range. Every gun in that range that has been identified was issued to Company "M" of the 1st Arkansas Cavalry in 1863 and re-issued to the same unit in 1865. This gun was most certainly issued to the that unit.

fr_1 - BEAUTIFULL .44 CAL. AUSTIN T. FREEMAN ARMY SIZED REVOLVER.
This is a great Freeman that has suffered a little bit from poor storage. It shows minor corrosion on the left side of the frame in front of the cylinder, as well as an area to the right rear of the frame near the grips. Other than these two areas, the gun retains 95% original bright blue and is very presentable. The gun is virtually unused.

bt2 - CONFEDERATE ISSUE ENGLISH WEBLEY REVOLVER
At first glance, many Confederate purists may shout down any claim that this is a Confederate weapon, but I tend to put more stock into bonafide documentation than most. Nearly the entire production of Kerr Revolvers are getting credit for being Confederate, based on either Pratt's Squad Roll of Kerr's being issued to his Company "H" of the 18th Virginia Cavalry, or the fact that many documented specimens are marked with a "JS and anchor" on the grips. There is absolutely no proof that JS and anchor marked guns were all used by the Confederacy, but the Pratt list leaves no doubt that many Kerr's in the documented range are DEFINATELY CONFEDERATE. Well, this very good and sound condition Webley falls right in between two other Webleys by serial number ON PRATT'S SQUAD LIST, and in addition, is marked on the top strap "Bentley" as are the two on the list. It has the look, smell, taste, and feel of Confederate, and falls within a documented range unlike most of the Kerrs. It's a great gun supported by facts, not rumor and hope.
